Eligibility
- Participant must be a MCIT Online/ MSE-DS Online student
- Each student can only join one team
- Each team can only submit to one track
- Each team can have 2-4 students

WHAT TO BUILD
In this open-ended hackathon, you are free to choose a project of your choice using any programming language, with the primary goal being to learn and build something new and valuable to add to your portfolio. You can submit to one of these four themes:
WHAT TO SUBMIT
To be considered for an award, you will need to do 4 things:
- Complete registration before May 2nd, 11:59 pm EDT
- Submit GitHub repo to Devpost using official README.md template by May 6th, 11:59 pm EDT
- Submit 3 minute max demo video to Devpost by May 6th, 11:59 pm EDT
- Submit a writeup for your project via Devpost by May 6th, 11:59 pm EDT
Prizes
Winners will be announced based on each of the following categories or on an overall basis (to be decided).
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
There will be two judging categories:
- Java console apps are for those with no programming experience other than the Java skills, taught in CIT 591.
- All other submissions are for those proficient in (or just experimenting with!) other languages. Participants are welcome to use any language they prefer.
This event is open to all current students of the MCIT Online/ MSE- DS Online program. It is a great opportunity to work on an open-ended project of your choice with classmates from across the MCIT/ MSE-DS Online student community.
The primary motivation is for you to learn something new, build something cool, and boost your portfolio! Any programming language is permissible.
